Pet Blessings by Tibetan Buddhist Monks

Sunday June 29, Noon-1:00pm
Spirit Corner Park, 1779 Cadwell Avenue
Cleveland Heights, Ohio
Suggested donation: $10 per pet

Rooted in compassion and a respect for all forms of life, Buddhist animal blessings reflect the core values of the Bodhisattva – loving kindness, and interconnectedness. In Buddhist practice all animals are regarded as sentient beings, and we care for all of them, both the seen and the unseen, to attain everlasting peace and happiness.

Bring your dog, cat, horse, bird, rabbit, fish or any other animal you share your life with to be blessed and/or healed by the monks of the Gaden Shartse monastery!
The blessings will be done on a first-come, first-served basis, so no reservation is needed.
If your pet can’t come in person, bring a photo of them and they will receive their blessing remotely.
And if you’re out of the area you can email a picture of your pet to receive the blessing.

Each pet will be blessed individually. The monks will say a prayer for your pet to have good health, a clear mind, and healing from sickness or disease. They will place positive imprints in their mind, ensuring their future happiness and wellbeing, as well as a higher rebirth after death. They will sprinkle your pet with Holy Nectar and touch their body with the Diamond Light of healing. The blessing can have a very calming effect on your pet.

*If you’re not able to make it to the event, contact me to schedule a private healing for your pet (and one for you too if you’d like!)

This is an outdoor event and will be held rain or shine. Street parking is available. Please check the posted signs for parking regulations.

The monks are able to accept cash, checks and credit cards. Please make checks payable to Gaden Shartse Cultural Foundation. The monks’ primary motivation is to share Buddhist teachings, so no one will be turned away for inability to pay the full suggested donation, or to pay anything at all.
