Meditation

The idea of meditating can be intimidating. Many people worry that they can’t do it “right”, that they don’t really know what they’re supposed to do, and how does just sitting there help anything anyway? However, when you learn what meditating is and how simple it is to do, these fears soon give way to peace.
Meditating is the act of redirecting our thoughts. When our mind wanders off in thought (and it will, on a regular basis) we simply bring our attention back to our chosen meditation – without judgment or criticism. We simply practice staying in the present moment. That’s it.

By not getting caught up in the emotion and drama of our thoughts, we begin to realize we have a choice about where to place our attention and our energy. The regular practice of meditation, then, helps is in our “regular lives” by helping us remember that we have a choice about where to place our attention and our energy. It helps us remain more peaceful and calm in stressful situations.

Meditating can be done in 10 minutes a day. This quick video makes meditating very simple.
