1. Stop watching the news – The news is a constant source of stress. It’s mostly bad news, very little of which we can do anything about. If something big happens that you need to know, people will tell you.
2. Stop watching commercials – Commercials put us on a never-ending treadmill of seeking happiness outside ourselves. Don’t let a stranger, whose motivations are profit-driven, tell you you’re not ok as you are.
3. Don’t keep a TV in your bedroom. It emits electromagnetic waves that interrupt sleep patterns, even when it’s turned off. If you must keep it in the bedroom, unplug it at night. And turn off your cellphone!
